This classic Grey Lynn villa was transformed with a modern renovation and major outdoor extension, which was designed to capture the perfect balance of yesterday and today. The architectural brief was to better maximise the property’s elevation, its views over Grey Lynn Park and perfect Westerly aspect, as well as refresh some areas of the existing home. All the charm and character of the residence’s heritage was expertly retained throughout, while stylishly enhancing the spaces with chic contemporary accents and modern flow.

A seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor zones was achieved by building walls of sliding glass doors along the rear of the home, which open out to the new deck and infinity pool complex. 505 Construction put the clients in touch with interior designer Shelley Ferguson to help bring their vision for the project to life, which 505 flawlessly executed. The new bathrooms are particularly striking – paying homage to the original period design, while showcasing luxurious fittings and fixtures.
